This is a project for a single-family home located on a rustic plot in the municipality of Canillas de Aceituno. With the entry into force of the new urban planning regulations of Andalusia, it is allowed to build residential buildings on rural land when a series of conditions and urban planning parameters are met.
In this case, the house will be located on a large plot of more than 25,000 m2 surrounded by trees and with enviable views of the Sierra Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park. The project must meet important requirements in terms of visual aspects with the aim of creating a modern vision while integrating traditional materials.
The concept of the project was to locate the building in the center of the land to obtain a 360-degree view. Each room in the house will have windows on at least 2 sides of the building. Opening the home completely will allow for natural wind flow and a feeling of open space. The room will be open-plan, double-height and with glass partitions inside for maximum transparency. The house has been designed with large outdoor terraces and a swimming pool, all surrounded by a garden designed with native plants.
