This work consists of the development of some previous ideas for action in the surroundings of the Río Seco as it passes through the town of Arenas. Providing a pedestrian connection along the stretch of road that runs parallel to the river would be the main objective of the proposed intervention. To this end, the construction of an elevated platform on pillars in the area between the road and the river bed is proposed. In this way, not only could the necessary pedestrian connection be achieved, but the town would be provided with a walking and recreation area.
On the other hand, an intervention to condition the banks of the river is proposed, as well as the creation of a river park with a recreational area that encourages the use and enjoyment of this natural environment by locals and foreigners. On the North side, and under the elevated platform described above, a pedestrian promenade is created provided with its respective protections, rest areas and landscaping treatments of the slope that supports the road. On the south side, a river park is created with a recreational area that would have a longitudinal promenade, rest areas, a playground, barbecues and picnic tables, all integrated with a grove of trees and gardens in the environment in which it is located. . All pavements will be made of albero, aggregates and natural substrates, as well as street furniture will be made of wood.
